I'm getting an NHL Slapshot with the Nintendo Wii Machine in a few weeks.

There is a black rubber slip that goes on the stick right where the face meets shaft. You must first take the rubber slip and and put it on the face part. Once you remove the small black piece from the neck of the stick, place the face of the stick in there, reattach the small black piece, then slip the rubber black slip back over the small black piece. It will hold the face in place with the rest of the stick.
