I LOVE THIS MOVIE, AND I HAVE FOLLOW HIM BEFORE THIS....BUT THIS MOVIE...TO ME TAKES THE CAKE...........HE WILL BE MISSED AND MISSED SO MUCH...I GREW UP ON ALL HIS MOVIE....A WONDERFUL ACTOR, PERSON, AND MY LOVE GOES OUT TO HIS FAMILY STILL..... My Dad was an extra in the North and South and he said Patrick Swayze thought he was the best thing ever put on the earth and that he was a huge womanizer i was like 0.o

I love North and South, but the romance between Orry and Madeline got a little nauseating. It's like "quit screwing around and get back to the north/south conflict already!"

I cant watch this movie without thinking about Patrick Swayze and what happened to him. It is heart breaking. This movie is where I saw Swayze for the first time as well and I was totally smitten by him. After seeing him in this role I think he sort of defined what a real man should be: courageous, loyal, honorable, adventurousness and kind; a person with character. I loved his friendship with George and their dedication to one another despite the odds. What a shame he had to go so early.

This is where I saw Patrick Swayze for the first time. This is where I fell inlove with the Actor and his acting. I loved him very much. R.I.P Patrick. You will live in our hearts forever. My condolences to his close friends and family. May God be with is wife and take her through this ordeal with the peace of mind that he is suffering no more.
