Many years before before Andrew Lloyd-Webber set T S Eliot's "Jellicle" cats I composed my own choral setting of the poem. The setting of the poem has not been published with the words (for legal reasons), but the estate of TS Eliot gave me permission to use the word "Jellicle" in titles, so I used my original setting in two instrumental versions. A simpler version for recorder quartet and this rather more ornamented version (Jellicle Catgut) for string quartet.
The soundtrack here is an electronic preview, but if a string quartet would like to play it I would love to hear a recording.

The photos are of my black and white cat, who is a Jellicle par excellence
