The only thing I don't like about this new ep4 is the Jabba scene. It is great to see Jabba but first he looks terrible in comparison to how he looks in Ep6. Second is that it takes away all the suspense of not knowing what Jabba looks like.

@patty1947 Same deal with Harrison as Indy, though that was cos Tom Selleck was committed to make Magnum PI. Hard to imagine anyone else as wither Han or Indy!

@ShikaShadow14 Harrison Ford was already an actor when he was cast as Han Solo. He started acting in '66. His previous role was in American Graffiti, another George Lucas film, in '73. At first George didnt want Harrison because he wanted all fresh faces, but decided Harrison was the best for the rold of Han.

Empire Strikes Back. I don't think anyone can say that's not no.1 and justify it. See what happens when Lucas isn't directing...
Oh and review it already! Watch it again though so it's fresh in your mind.

I think the actor that played Han Solo was discovered by luck. I remember watching something on T.V. about them going through a shit load of actors/wannabees looking for the perfect Han Solo and the one who played him was something like the janitor/Donut boy or somthing and they had him audition for no real reason and they liked him the best.

Fuck that,I was watching it and when I saw that jabba was like all digitalized and watnot,it just threw me out of the moog,I like the original better without it being digitaly enhanced.
I must agree with the 97 version, as Jabba did look really fake. The DVD version does look much better and more realistic. Plus at least we have the original to watch as well!
