Well, this protest is not about the "leaders" but people. The rigged election gave people the chance to protest and ask for their legal rights. We all know that all the candidates have been already confirmred by guardian council. That means they all are from within the govenment. But let's just have this hope that all these end in good. and the people could get what they are asking for, democracy, freedom and justice.

Actually, I was being sarcastic! It's just that in the west, they have totally forgotten about this issue and moved on to stupid shit like Michael Jackson. Didn't mean to offend.. And yes, we still do have human rights issue and our governments are as far from being righteous as it gets. And I do support the Iranians who stand up for themselves. One question though. Does it really make a difference who their 'leader' is? Don't the elders call all the shots anyway?

kvetch23, why would they do stop protesting? they are getting insulted, killed, imprisoned and tourtured in jails just because they don't think like their leaders. By the way, by "rest of the world" you mean something about 200 countries in have focused on drug-addicted and pedophiles, this looks more like a joke. Those countries which focused on these matteres don't have "human right" issue, besides, they have righteous government. they are NOT governed by corropted people.

A lot of foreign media is lost in the US for more Obama flattery of what music or food he likes... It's all scripted and this didn't fit his script. He wanted/needed to show he can solve everything with words. Hence, he's more likely to use Russia to grab influence while posing for pictures.

The people here and there mean nothing to his ego. Just look at the bonehead bills he got passed without ppl reading them. He is all about scamming and posing, not invasions or freedom. Status Quo w/ pics.
