Demonstration of the kata TOKUMINE NO KON (old-style), at the Okinawa World Karatedo Tournament 2009, Budokan, Okinawa. Visit http://www.karatebyjesse.com for more info, videos and the blog!
This is so very close to the Shian Toma (Okinawa Seidokan) version of Tokumine no Kun we practice, with some timing differences. It is good to see such a close performance of t his kata to a similar Chotoku Kyan linage school. Well performed. Thank you for posting.
I am a member of his dojo. We don't do it this way in the dojo, just for demonstration. Some changes near the end and at beginning, also the slow parts are slightly different in the non demonstration version.
