@dukeofbute pretty much but how many times do people of other nations learn english quickly and they are not lil kids. Its about immersion into the language. If you want to learn a language you have to surround yourself in it. I know a wealthy Indian guy that barely knew any English. Started off as a 5-star hotel busboy, then room service, valet and is now in corporate america. (he was my American boss's boss!) We can do anything if we are motivated.
