I put my hand over the side of the boat and felt the heart of my mom and dad (now passed) still living in spirit. the waves wash them over me from time to time as if they are reaching out to me. This music tells truths few can see or hear, yet, many feel everyday.

I find it deeply touching how Kate invites her family into her songs from time to time. Her love for them is clearly there in the words, notes, music of the song. The memories she has, remembers and treasures are still with her now.
We can all relate to this - memories of our own families saying silly things - but the image of time sticks and we remember. A very simple idea for a song - but oh so deeply touching!
