This is really incredible! I would have loved to see them dance live. This could put a smile on anyone's face!

@blinko656 it would sound like LIttle Richard, you must mean how it would look, well from what i know, people still liny hopped all the way through the early rock and roll era, some called it jitter bugging at that point. I would even go so far as to say a smoother lindy hop was used in the disco era, they just called it the hustle is all...

thumbs up! You're absolutely right. What's worse: some of 'em still do... Prejudice rules, though on camera they'll never admit it. (that's all they learned)
ps I'm a honky

Girl you need to go to a Spirit filled church and get a taste of the Holy Spirit and put that Choi toy Cos and that other stuff on hold for a while. Listen to your grandmother .
Thanks for uploading this! I was wondering what true air step looked like from that era (none of this modern cheap imitation crap) seeing as it was mentioned in my history of jazz music textbook. Thanks a bunch!

@IWantANameDammit glad you got to see it!! there's a select few out there nowadays that can really swing it in the spirit of whitey's lindyhoppers. try searching rhythm hotshots or harlem hotshots for starters.
