This is the second part of TAC's 2008 anti-speeding campaign. This one's the regional version for country bumpkins and yokels. I quite like these ads. The moody music really adds to the atmosphere, and the voiceover is quite unapologetic in it's tone. But no blood, of course. They don't do that these days.

  • I've seen all your uploaded videos, some of them have good affect. This one has no affect on me at all.

  • I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on why? Is it because you don't think it's much of a deterrent?

  • agreed. no reasoning in it. just threatening.

  • Speeding drivers need threatening.

  • I was surprised they didn't follow it up with a line about going to prison to hammer the thing home properly.

PS: Losing your drivers licence is quite a bad punishment, really.

  • @wuzzlevideos I agree on the postscript. It's quite shameful too if your friends find out your bird has to ferry you over to work/pub/anywhere.

  • @wuzzlevideos It might be kind of too beautiful, you know.. the whole setting, somehow I agree with Narcronics about the affect..

  • this wouldn't work. I think they gory one will. they say they don't have any effect. but I say they should up the level on the horror. force the effect in

  • I'm not sure why, it just doesn't hit the right spot.

Maybe it is because I see so many people breaking the road rules everyday and not getting caught, that's all I can think of.

  • Really clever ad.

I was just thinking the other day how effective the slogan is, "Anywhere, anytime" is. Because whenever you're tempted to speed you ask yourself, 'Are the police around?' then you remember, 'oh yeah... anywhere, anytime.' Very clever.

So although this ad is rather repetative, it's very effective.

  • That actually made me laugh. :)

And this one seems slightly darker than the one for inner-city folks, so if you're speeding AND from out of town, you're REALLY fucked.
