SHEN ZHEN CHINA WUSHU BROADSWORD SAMPLER

I have so much other footage that wasn't included in my compelation vid (the one to "until the day i die") so i started to go through some and made a hastey broadsword sampler. Not the greatest but i didn't use alternative so all you ppl that complained might like it better. It was rushed but the wushu speaks for itself.

is his style just for showing off(like try to make the form look pretty and score better point in tournment) or u can actually use it in a real fight?

This style is supposed to have combative roots from traditional Kung Fu, but as it's evolved over the years it's more of a sport than a way to teach you how to fight. Look up sport karate or tricking and it's basically the same thing. All martial arts have form routines that are supposed to prepare you for combat in some way, but a lot of people like myself just participate in form tournaments for the sport.

If anything.. wushu ppl are the most humble out of all the martial arts. We know it's just for show but enjoy doing what we do in style.. haha.

Well, considering the reflexes, muscles and precision you gain from practicing Wushu i am pretty confident saying that it is just as good for real fighting as it is for "showoff"

wushu is considered one of china's treasures but when people say wushu today most ppl think of what we see in this video. there are also different styles of wushu that actually teach how to fight like san shao but in this case wushu has evolved. wushu was used to fight off people before but now we have modern weapons so now wushu has became a sport with compititons and it would look retarded if you stood out there fighting air so they made it look nice and that is wat we see today

@MichaelTheInfamous his style is wushu its a very flashy style but they can fight unlike what a lot of ppl may think they also do a type of kickboxing and this is just their forms. also the higher and faster they move and the more flashy the more points they gain

I do wushu too, but after i watched you guys, it made me feel like i am a complete noob LOL i've only been doing wushu for two years, but my broadsword is nothing compared to you guys.

@MichaelTheInfamous I think it's mostly decorative now; but, that said, I'm not gonna pick a fight with a guy who can whip a sword around like that.
