On Thursday January 6th I found this dolphin tangled up in discarded commercial gear (looked like long line gear). You can barely make out the tangle in the beginning hanging just below the dolphin. I was able to reach the tangle of mono with the gaff and pull the dolphin up to the boat (and no I didn't touch the dolphin). One quick snip with the pliers and the whole tangle came free. The dolphin appeared to be pretty tired as it did not swim away when freed, but it was definitely moving away from me slowly but surely. That was it, I decided to leave it alone as to not put any more unneeded stress on it. The next day I returned to the same area and there was hundreds if not thousands of dolphins swimming in the same area. Hopefully the little guy made!
