  • The live demo and open-source project are now online!

  • Really impressive !!

When do you will publish the source code? I started working on a WebGL virtual globe too.

  • @asantiagop The source code and live demo is going to be released soon - I hope before the end of the year. We need to do a bit of refactoring and cleaning of the code and prepare some documentation.

The project is using Google Closure compiler. Code is clean and optimized for speed. We are looking forward to see what other people will do with the project in the future and how they improve it.

I will definitively post announcement on twitter and blog once we put the code and the demo online.

  • this is great news! (I'am looking for the code too)

  • By the way: Do you already know when you will release WebGL Earth?

  • Very impressive.

Looking forward to see the source code.

I've had problems in getting such a fast rendering of the object when I was trying out my own version of a 3d earth
