A nice day at the "Maasvlakte II". A piece of new land off the dutch coast, building the Rotterdam port even bigger than it already is. The large concrete blocks are re-used to strengthen the soft-coast, mainly consisting of new to build dunes. The massive crane at the end of the video is called "Blockbuster". It's counterweight weighs in at 360 metric tonnes. It is huge! It can place the 40 metric tonnes blocks with 10 cm precision. At the tip of the crane they mounted underwater cameras for positioning. Shot with handheld sony HDR-SR10 HD-camera, edited with Final Cut Express on a MacPro (early 2008).
