Depew FD Structure Fire - 55 Muskingum st

Depew Firefighters responded this evening at 1800 Hrs for a report of a structure fire on Muskingum St.
Depew 9-4 went on location with a working fire in a 2 1/2 story occupied dwelling. Crews were ordered out of the building and exterior operations were used.
Mutual aid companies were Lancaster (Ladder to the scene & fill in @ Southside Station), Bowmansville (fill in @ Northside Station), & Hy-View (fill in at West End Station).
The fire was under control in 82 minutes.

@thefirefighter Not initially is wasn't. They made an interior attack and there were 3-4 guys on a handling on the right side with no SCBA on. Seems like there was a good chance that it was a basement fire or a balloon framed house. There's no way you should get that much smoke from the first floor on an attic fire. Which is a good scenario to get FF's trapped. Which is why there should have been guys with SCBA on ready to go, ie: RIT team.

that was my house the 1-4 Corner on the 2nd floor is my bed room i was thare for must of the day and from what thay tell me was it was bering for 5 hrs. be for the call
