tropical thunderstorms 2:15pm on april fools day 2008. the strong wind pounded relentlessly the giant fern tree - will it survived...view to find out. overhere in kuala lumpur it is a common sight to see rain lashing out the city. but not for this particular day - certainly one of the most violent storm to hit this residential area located in kuala lumpur outskirt. the afternoon heavy downpour in the city lasted about 3hrs prompting activation of the city's flood control system - the smart tunnel was closed to traffic to divert rain water out of kuala lumpur. the city survived another day from one of nature's most feared simultaenous onslaughts. apart from several uprooted trees there were no casualties.
