MoDaCo 2.2 "Enhanced Version" - (2.73)

I decided to shoot a quick video from my spare G1 (development phone) that details views on the latest controversy over at the XDA forums. This is obviously in regards to the MoDaCo Custom ROM (MCR) and the comparison of it's features and responsiveness to other ported builds.

I'm a major supporter of Paul @ MoDaCo - the guy is a genius! He keeps me posted via Twitter with his latest builds for other devices, not including the Sapphire, Hero, or the Dream. He isn't updating his ROM builds anymore due to "lack of time." Sooner or later, when the 2.86 WWE system dump is released, he will create another ROM or upgrade his current ones.

Chris Chavez, otherwise known as "EmoGamer" here at YouTube...is now being referred to as a "Modaco Fanboy" over at XDA. I highly disagree with the judgment that the Moderators passed to BAN him from the forums and individual threads due to his beliefs. Personally, there wasn't any "drama" being started by him, just endless amounts of retards who don't understand that their is a difference between being a "fanboy" and having an opinion.

Keep in mind, this was SHOT FROM A G1, so the quality is absolutely horrible. Then again, I'm not trying to showcase the features of this build. Anyway, having said that...I might shoot a video considered to be a full, in-depth review of the MCR 2.2e!

Modaco is referring to as Paul @ MoDaCo, which is a blogging, news, and information website about mobile operating systems.

This ROM has nothing to do with the HTC_IME. I'm not entirely sure why you're experiencing the consistent force closing issue you speak of. It would be a compatibility issue. If you're not a "root user" then it might not have the resources to properly function for everything on your device.

yes but it worked perfect until the new update that i did on my mytouch, then after that it wouldnt work it would force close everytime sucks man idk what to do i really like dat keyboard

If you're referring to the Donut 1.6 OTA update from T-Mobile, then you're not going to have compatibility until you fix the permissions.

If you're a root user, enter your command terminal application...then type this:

su (enter)

fix_permissions

Then let that process complete. Otherwise, you need to track down an updated version that is compliant with the 1.6 firmware. Cyanogen's ROM would be my suggestion. He has it available on his latest.
