Donald Duck's 50th Birthday Parade at The Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World 1984

This is a film I have put together of my favourite moment of three visits to Walt Disney World: my first visit in 1984, at which the afternoon parade's theme was 'Donald Duck's 50th Birthday'. It uses some footage from a BBC 'Holiday 85' tv programme which I had on videotape, plus some video footage which I shot myself, plus still photos from the parade. Apologies for the sound quality which varies, and the videotape quality varies also and is a bit jumpy in places due to the fact that the tapes are nearly 25 years old! Still I think its a decent record of a great Disney parade. I've scoured every source to try to get a quality copy of the original music that was played during the parade without success - if anyone know s where it is available I would love to know (the original parade music, not other versions of teh 'Happy Birthday' song!). Hope it brings back happy memories for all those who saw it.

They also made a TV program about Donald's 50th in the States, which I myself have on tape at home. It is hosted by Dick Van Dyke, who is certainly no stranger to Disney himself, having appeared in several movies, including the classic "Mary Poppins".

I vividly remember this song. It was stuck in my head for a long time as a child and every once in awhile I remember it. Can't believe I found this on Youtube. My family went to Disney every summer when I was a kid. I think I was 8 when I saw this

I remember this parade- it was the first year I ever went to Disney World - I loved this parade....Donald's my favorite character!!
