Still As Beautiful: Chapter 73 [Read Description!]

AN: I'm sooooo sorry for being MIA lately! It's not intentional! I've just been busy figuring out some stuff and haven't had time to post. Oh, and as all of this continues, remember what I used to say in the earlier chapters about how I'm always trying to say something? Well, I am. ALWAYS :]

It was early, something all five teens were used to in their usual lives. It was always a photoshoot, an interview, or a meeting that brought them up with the sun, and kept them up until it rose again the next day. That same sun was peeking in through the thick hospital curtains on the window they sat beneath at the end of Mileys wing. Joe coined the term, attempting to lighten the mood when he sat on the bed next to Miley, just the night before. Only Miley had the power to receive an entire wing equipped with security guards and a personal nursing staff for her and her alone. They all joked along, laughing past tears they choked back. He was right though, and they all knew it.
Still, under that window, they ate in peace. That morning Kevin, Joe, and Demi (who had slept at the Jonas the night before) all piled into Kevins car and drove to pick up Selena and Taylor. They stopped at a McDonalds and somehow managed to order everything that the breakfast menu had to offer. A group of photographers and reporters followed them, snapping pictures of their meals and the clothing they wore after they realized not a word would be spoken about Nick or Miley and their condition. The media was currently in the dark, and thats how it would stay. The little space underneath the window had become like a treehouse for the teens and they used it to their advantage as they silently hid away there from the rest of the world.
"She has to wake up soon, right?" Everyone looked up at Taylor. They all wanted to be offended and to find her comment rude, but the truth was that it was the same thing lingering on their minds since they had arrived.
"She will" Demi spoke confidently.
"I feel bad" Selena muttered.
Kevin looked up from his coffee. "Why?"
"We said some things we shouldnt have" Taylor said, immediately looking down afterward, her eyes connecting with the cheep carpet below.
"Im so stupid", Selena muttered. "I knew all along and still, I didnt because I couldnt admit any of it to myself..."
"Well I did know and half of the time I tried to forget about it. I should have told you guys..."
"How could you have?" Joe entered the conversation. "They trusted you with their relationship. Dont beat yourself up, Dem-"
"Well you thought you knew! Why didnt you say something?"
"I tried! You were too busy keeping them from falling apart to listen!"
"Guys, dont argue! Please!" Kevin pleaded.
"Were not arguing. Im just saying" Demi breathed out. "...maybe this sucks from all angles"
"It definitely does" Taylor spoke up, sipping at her orange juice and nibbling at her muffin. "I dont know whats worse, knowing and having no control over it, or having no control because you didnt know"
Among half open containers of maple syrup, styrofoam containers with pancakes and wrappers filled with breakfast sandwich crumbs, the blame game was being played. It would continue to be played, because there was nobody to blame. They could point fingers and analyze the situation all they wanted, but that didnt solve it any. By the time they were throwing away the syrup, the empty styrofoam boxes and the now crumpled up wrappers, Miley was still asleep. And Nick was still right by her side.

You write the whole thing so real that you are able to imagine the chapter perfectly clear, like you are there, listening to the conversation. I love this so much. I am going to be so sad when it ends. I know I say it everytime I comment, but your writing is incredible. It's so subtly beautiful. It's descriptive without being obnxiously pretenious sounding. I love the way you have portrayed every single character. I loved the last two lines, they were so beautiful and simple, which for me are the two biggest themes (motifs?) of this story. Amazing job as usual, cannot wait for the next update. =D
