  • Continued from previous post.

Amazing technique on a parr with TK Chiba Sensei.

I was recently invited to teach at his 40th celebration in Paris. I was sorry that I could not be there as I have great respect Noro Sensei.

  • I trained with Noro Sensei when he made his first visit to the UK in 1962/3 at the invitation of my teacher Kenshiro Abbe Sensei. I don't pretend to understand what Kinomichi is, or even what I see. It certainly is not what I would be a part of. I will say that in those early days Noro Sensei was one of the most dynamic and powerful students of Osensei. He was the first Japanese teacher we had seen in a white hakama, we called him the `white tornado`.

  • Haha... Nice dancing video... It isn´t Aikido, but it looks funny...

  • This is not Aikido, it doesn't respect the principals of balance and weight. No mind if it is slow or fast. this could be nice dancing.

  • Common ça va? XD

  • @urplereen Here, it is shown very slowly, the sensei doesn't move at the real speed and doesn't throw the students on the ground. But he could if he wanted to.

Btw martial arts are not only meant to be used for defense, it's also a form of art :)

  • I do have my doubts about this art.... No disrespect, but how can something that looks so elegant and dance-like actually be used for self-defense?

  • koremo aikido, aikido extensions...

expanding aikido to the ends of the universe...

  • Very nice... but maybe somebody can explain to me why the kotogaeshi is done like that- it looks to me like there is a risk of twisting the wrist- IF it is misunderstood. The

way I like to do it goes along the curled fingers, and can't hurt the wrist....of course here it is not supposed to hurt either but it looks like that could happen.

  • @kubekm2001 Jestem z toba, przez takie ekstra pokazy ludzie maja o aikido takie zdanie, jakie maja... No zalosne-aikido to w koncu sztuka walki!
