  • No one captured the spirit of Rock and Roll debauchery started by the Rolling Stones like GnR. In fact, GnR's pace of excess far exceeded the Stones even at Keith's prime in '72. GnR was like a comet. Its fast and bright and burns out fast, and if you missed it, you'll never understand how beautiful it was.

  • @MrCatmandew2 check out live at the ritz from 88 and tell me what you think about that

they were 5 fuckin junkies playing their hearts out

their sound was unique, powerful and fuckin great...that's why they made the most selling debut album in the history of Mankind

  • vão toma no cu

  • @cgraber hell yeah! but i think you mean meteor, not comet

  • @salomey5 I hate it but hey thats me

  • @cgraber Agreed...but even though Guns were obviously influenced by Aerosmith and the Stones, and the Dolls, their music had one key ingredient that none of those bands had. Guns were ANGRY. There is an element of malevolence, violence, and danger to Guns that just didn't exist in the Stones, the Dolls, or Aerosmith. With Axl, there is a palpable feeling that this guy is not a good guy, that he is unpredictable and capable of violence. I never got that feeling from Jagger, Tyler or Johansen

  • @TheAerosmith3 Totally agree. I actually quite like ChiDem and I don't mind the Axl Rose Project, but for me, it's not GnR, it's an entirely different band.

  • @salomey5 thats what im thinkin man! Wish i couldve went...Now a days GN'R isnt GN'R

  • @TheAerosmith3 They sure didn't suck when I saw them in Wembley in 91. I remember being particularly impressed by Axl's out-this-world vocal range. I think he's loon, but damn, what an amazing frontman.

Great show, great music, great band.

  • @cgraber That's about is about the best I've ever heard them summed up. That puts GNR and their impression on Rock N' Roll accurately into perspective. This is why they were (and still are) loved so much by so many. I think a lot of people sense this but are unable to articulate it this well. Well said.
