I just made this using canned peaches in syrup (peaches are out of season right now). I used cinnamon and nutmeg since I didn't have any 5 spice. The cobbler came out amazing. Not overly sweet, very savory.

Chef, you make me dream.... like literally, because here in Costa Rica peaches suck if you even find them. Oh, but I'm so gonna try this recipe. Maybe with mangoes.
