The history of the most succesfull Greek general of the acient times, the King of Macedonia , Alexander the 3rd or Alexander the Great. After his father's death he became king of Macedonia and united with the rest Greek city-States conquered Asia,destroying the Persian Empire and reaching India. Alexander the Great: A real Greek immortal Titan.
His conquest was purely Greek without any historical doubt. He used to speak Greek dialect,believed in the 12 Greek gods and participated in the ancient Greek Olympic Games.

Finally, Alexander was political flexible! He united Greeks against Persia. When he conquered jewish (after the battle of Tyrus) he worshiped their god. When he conquered Persia he married the daughter of Darieus etc... Romans build their empire in that idea. Something like today`s globalization....

In addition, Alexander`s Empire was suffered from many-many civil wars. That was the reason that became weak and lost all wars with Romans.
But, Alexander`s army had special forces, corps of engineers, corps of recognition, spies etc
US army studied Alexander`s moves before invading Iraq and Afganistan!!!!!

The comparison of Roman Empire and Alexander`s Empire is difficult. However, Alexander was the biggest strategic brain in History and the cleverest warrior as well. .
In his plans was to conquer the western Europe, but death caught him up. If he hadn`t die so young History would be different.

the greatest man to have ever lived. i see some comments a bout the roman empire it is the greatest empire of all time because it lasted very long and was bigger than Alexanders empire for a very long time. Alexander's empire was divided and deformed shortly after his death, the Roman empire lasted centuries.
