@ChrisPawelski and the waratchi sandals and jams by weirdo woolfie, or the green coat and highwaters by frightening frankie. maybe because their trying the "funky and groovy threads" nineteen sixties look. prolly smoke it too.

Yikes, the Ghoulies may exemplify what was wrong with the 70s, especially the cheap animation... and yet, they still managed to be enjoyable somehow! I think my favorite song is The Trio; I love the "weirdo wolfie!" part. "1 2 3" is also memorable -- maybe a bit TOO stick-in-the-heady, with all the repetition.

@CIGARPIGSKIN6 Serioulsy? Well, I guess it just goes to show people tend to think whatever they grew up with was the best. Galaxy High was decent, but the Scooby series were all downhill from the original until the most recent ones. I think the Golden Age were the cartoons like Johnny Quest and the early Superman/Aquaman shows. Then there was a drought of good toons (we got stuff like "The Superfriends" instead). Disney's Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers may be the best of the return of good toons.

O_O I remember this cartoon when I was a kid. I've been looking for this one for a looooooooooooooong time.

As a 7 year old boy in 1971, I did some swimwear modeling for a local department store. My "pay" for the first fashion show I did was that I got to keep the totally cool "Groovie Goolies" swim trunks that I wore during part of the show.

Chloe Sevigny was right, this IS terrifying. ;-)
