you think that was a varnished pump, you should take a look at a pump that has had fuel in it for 40 years. now that is some nasty stuff. that would gag a maggot.

@kreigsmann You are calling me slow. I do not know about you, but that ticks me off. Lawn Mowers have Float and Bowl carbs. (most anyways)

but pos carbs never fail

all the smaller engines have them and they work great and have been working great for decades.

they are the easiest and best working carbs made.

float and bowl carbs leak and are hard to rebuild.

@kreigsmann I am not slow. I am not going to fight on Daniel's videos though. I do think that lawn mowers have a float and bowl. Not all position carb (Diaphragm Carb) They are for weed eaters and such.
