=======================
(Wikipedia)
The IAV Stryker is a family of eight-wheeled, all-wheel-drive, armored combat vehicles produced by General Dynamics Land Systems, in use by the United States Army. The armored vehicle is based on the Canadian LAV III light-armored vehicle, which in turn was based on the Swiss MOWAG Piranha III 8x8. The Stryker is the U.S. Army's first new armored vehicle since the M2/M3 Bradley Fighting Vehicle in the 1980s.

The Stryker was championed by General Eric Shinseki when he was U.S. Army Chief of Staff. The vehicle is employed in Stryker Brigade Combat Teams, light and mobile units based on the Brigade Combat Team Doctrine that relies on vehicles connected by military C4I networks.

  • @andrademeza they were up-armored, a more powerful anti-IED-jammer was fitted and the weapon is now fully stabilized

  • ok so i had heard that these strykers were flawed in some way, so have they since been upgraded and had their flaws fixed?

  • @Ag3nt0fCha0s The Abrams has been proven in combat.

  • @Ag3nt0fCha0s lol....Thermal sights inferior? The M60 is old school. Besides, even the M1s have had updated thermal technology since the 2000s. The Abrams has one of the best tank armors in the world with Reactive Armor packages. The Abrams has explosive/bunkerbusting rounds, with even more effective buckshot rounds for infantry. The Abrams has been in service since the 80s. So protection against 70s era ammo only is unreasonable. The Abrams is THE MODERN MBT of the World.

  • @Ag3nt0fCha0s Its technology isnt comparable to anything else. The armor can withstand repeated direct hits. The cannon and ammunition dissolves whatever it touches. it is also operated by highly trained crews that make the Abrams the deadly machine that it is.

  • @Ag3nt0fCha0s M1/M2 are some of the best tanks in the world.

  • @Ag3nt0fCha0s This is why the stryker is good. It fits the bill against what the U.S is facing today.

  • @Ag3nt0fCha0s Alright buddy, your just throwin shit out there. How do you know there are 1000 going through the depot, or the 50% KIA. You dont. The Styker MGS can fire its main turret from any position and remain stable(No trains, that was WWII) And enemy aircraft/armour? Idk if you noticed but the U.S isnt fighting a conventional force. Terrorists dont operate things like that. If they did, we would be using the Abrams or Bradley.

  • @metric85

    A lie more like, with 1000 going through the depot a month.

    Notice how it said 50% of the SBCT are experienced? What happened to hte other 50%? Answer: KIA.

    Those tires are rubber; they burn easy, and when they're gne, Stryker can't move.

    Notice how you never saw the Stryker MGS (with the BIG gun) up close? That's because it would have been mounted on a train - firing it's weapon causes it to roll over and it's unstable.

    Those .50 B<Gs btw, are no match against enemy armour/aircraft.

  • @metric85 right, that's terrific
