:( i downloaded and installed ss2 however it wont go past where u choose your career path just freezes on the loading screen and an error mesage appears on the desktop

Oh, uh... One last thing... I can't seem to run the game on XP. Like, at all. I've tried about ninety things, none of which had any success... :\

I'm playing this game on WinXP with SP3,

All I needed to do was adding safe_texture_manager fix in cam.cfg

Well, You need to search this on your own, I don't own Vista so I can't say anything just about how easy or difficult is running SS2 on this platform, but I believe there are tutorial videos on yutube that investigate this problem. :-)

6:41 - I admit, that startled me the first time I played through the game...

First get the patches/updates.

Then when you get to the main menu hit ctrl+alt+del. Go to processes tab, right click Sshock2 (or something like that) go to set affinity, Then uncheck one box. If you are on vista you have to do this EVERY time you start up the game

You have to set affinity to 1 pc only. It doesnt like dual quad computers etc
