Brilliant stuff. I've had a few thoughts about applying a F&P motor to a centrifuge for honey extraction but I'd rather avoid the F&P drive controller. Have you done any analysis of the signals to the phases of the controller or the hall efeect outputs back?
3 phase brushless motor IC will save you the hassle of using a PIC micro etc..
Good job on the deconstruction of the F&P main board...I deciphered the board myself early this year and used 3 phase IC mentioned above rather than go down your route after F&P were less than helpful with supplying pinouts for their propriety IC.

I dont know what I just saw, but I know it is a PICAXE ucontroller controlling a washing machine motor. Post more details please?
