when i write a recipient in putty - rcpt to: (email here ) and hit enter is says
"530 smtp authentication is required " for all the various emails I try it say it for all of them . What setting makes it so I dont get this message in putty? thank you!

@hakology Sorry for the late response but I already figured it out 5 days ago. My ISP didnt allow me to use port 25, so the only alternative was to use the SMTP server of my ISP itself.
Works great so far, but i would like to try HTML aswell using telnet. I've already tried several mails with the correct headers (MIME version,...) but the mail never arrives at its destination. Sending just plain text is no problem, but HTML doesnt seem to be working..

you could also try sending an email to an account hosted on your server by using an email address like 123.123.123.123@username
If you test sending to your IP and see if you are recieving them then you know your getting blocked the other end ... faking the headers is one way of getting round spam filters
how would you send the email to more then 1 recipient?

Hey hakology my putty kept shutting down but then i changed @ hmailserver the lower ip range to .1 at the end and now putty works...can u explain?
