  • I competed until 2008. Started when I was.. 6? Ha, well I stopped TKD at 3rd Degree blackbelt, concidering coming back.

  • If you do start up again...good luck with your training. I hope you enjoy it.

  • leaving your hands down like that has got to be the dumbest thing in the world

  • In a SPORT where there are rules disallowing it, and you're not worried about being punched in the head, then it starts to defy logic and becomes somewhat understandable.

  • WHAT?? you can't punch in a TKD tournament?

  • Depends what organization and rules are being applied. In WTF Olympic style there's no punching to the head because the players are bare fisted...no gloves. It's a safety rule. In Point Sparring the players wear gloves are are allowed to punch to the head (not face). However, in point sparring you can't kick to the face yet in Olympic style you get an extra point for a kick to the head and/or face. In fact, knowck outs are allowed for black belts 14 years old and up. Or is it 12 and up now?

  • Does anyone think I have a good chance to make junior male finweight team this year?

I fought the current team member and won and he's also moving to fly. So I think I have a good chance.

  • i fought in tht ring adn in 2007 nationals i got gold lol. i think it was in fort laudale.

  • TKD has turned itself into a debatable monster regarding its rules and regs for tournaments. WTF - its hardly proper full contact and the vast majority of fights are won on points. ITF - calls itself semi contact but quite frankly whats that mean? it means that a KO is a disqualification...otherwise these guys DO knock each other about. WTF and ITF tournament fighting styles are So disimilar they look like two different arts.

  • Cngrats to him! Keep up the good work.
