When I was a penniless student in the 80's in Ireland I would take a break from my late night cram sessions and come downstairs to have a bacon sandwich and a cup of tea and just watch/listen to some music on the tv/radio. When this song came on I used to dream of being finished my degree and to be slowly wandering through the streets of Florence or along the beaches of Bari mournfully searching for some Italian woman who had broken my heart. Aaah! Such bitter sweet beauty.
