  • hey thanks! i'll be printing some more cyanotypes in the next few days so i might try a longer version of a bigger print!

  • (i'm trying to cut all my films down to under or around 60 seconds because they mostly consist of nothing much happening but a little occasional movement and i would rather people watched it for 30 seconds and thought it was ok...rather than watch it for 3:30 seconds and think 'well, nothing much happened, i thought something was going to happen...i want my 3:30 seconds back!' )

  • I agree.

These 48 seconds feel really good.

Sometimes even a second of a bad movie is more than enough

  • yeh thats spot on! ...that 8x10 print was the only successful print from an unsuccessfull printing session, which in turn was taken from the only successful shot from an unsuccessful shoot and the 8x10 print was ruined during toning...so effectively, all that remains of that whole proccess is a one frame movie!

  • hey thanks! ...i think this is my favorite so far...i'd really like to get together a series of portraits like this and animate them so they were moving images rather than stills but not live action like a video portrait and somehow have the animation projected through a thin tank of moving water lit from behind with turquiose neon... like you walk into a blacked out chamber and there is this floating omnipresent face and the whole room is shimmering like the surface of the water!

  • thanks for commenting! (same girl in 'motel smoke' & 'asleep on the way home')

  • It looks like a dead person floating underwater.

  • What a great analog effect this produced. I could watch this for longer.

  • Love those blues....prussian, phthalocyanine...a little cerulean ...excellent

  • 48 seconds is not enough....or is it?

    beautiful Film....
