On April 12th, 2012, Lamont James & the Vitrolites were honoured to take part in ROCK FOR JEFF HEALEY PARK!

After guitarist Jeff Healey died in 2008, fans, friends and fellow musicians spearheaded a drive to rename a park in his neighbourhood in his honour. In April 2012, a distinguished group of Canadian musicians (featuring such luminaries as Danny Marks, Toney 'Wild T' Springer and Rock and Roll Hall Of Famer, Randy Bachman!) took part in a benefit concert to raise money to acquire special playground equipment to make Etobicoke's Jeff Healey Park more accessible for children with disabilities.

Randy Bachman, graciously and enthusiastically agreed, along with the incomparable Dave Murphy (Jeff Healey Blues Band) on keys, to join us on stage for what turned into an *EPIC* 12 minute rendition of Neil Young's 'Like A Hurricane'! Pure freakin' joy...
