Loving God & Eternal Torment?

Most people have a hard time equating a loving God with an eternal hell. I don't blame them!

I imagine alot of you all that agree with eternal punishment have loved one whom believe in Christ but may have committed a sin prior to death. :(

@paieusuntasta All depend on the nature of their sin.What if it was your mother who believed in Christ but somehow died in a unknowillingly sin? She lived a glory life and somehow near her end she might have unintentionally committed a small sin and never repented? Would you be happy shes burning in hell?:(

Why people believe that not believing in 'eternal torment' undermines the gospel or the need for repentance is beyond me.. The motivation for turning to the truth should not be the threat of torture, but the love of God through Christ..
