This one worked out quite well, I think - in fact, it's probably the smoothest Trilby level I've posted so far! One little problem was reading the note about the safe - I collected all the loot before the note finished displaying, which stopped the explanation text from appearing and as a result, I didn't know where to look for the first book! Not a serious problem, but a shame nonetheless.

I think this was probably my favourite level during my first playthrough of the game. I love the premise (the idea of Trilby raising a bit of cash to flee town), and the level has lots of neat little touches - like the bit with the caviar, and the jokes with the different books. I also loved the structure of the level - there are lots of little things to do in it, and you don't necessarily have to do everything. In this video I'd actually finished the loot goal by the time I got the suitcase in the room with the TV, and if I'd been going for best time I could have finished the level there and then.

I keep forgetting that I have the sugar rush ability, heh.

Enjoy! It might be a few days before I have a chance to post the next one...

  • Hmm... well, crap. You beat my time. It does look like you're using the glitch; where if you tazer the guard behind the desk watching TV, that guard is out forever on that save game. Still, that doesn't explain my 4:12 time, even abusing the usefullness of Roll (rolling off of one screen gives you a "fresh" roll into the next screen). And I thought I was spiffy. :P

  • There's a guard in the TV room? Ah, bloody hell, didn't know about that bug :(

  • Two things, I think there's possibly a better route. I did it earlier and got around four minutes without trying.

Also, noticed you glitched the guard away (zap him and exit and he's gone forever if you save)

  • Just run. Don't wait for guard to go past. If you run past them or off the screen they'll forget about you anyway.

  • lol, make them dance naked on roof tops!

  • the camera above the wire box disapeared

Im stuck on the button mashing level (4)

  • i cant save my game , it saves but when i go to load it doesnt load can anyone help me?

  • did trilby say "hold the phone" lol

  • n00b Question, but: How do you get the spotlight to stay off long enough? I went straight from the fuse box to the diamond and it turned on just as i got to it.

  • Yup. You're supposed to go up to the camera and clip the blue wire to turn the TV off so you can sneak into the room undetected; doing it without turning the TV off is bloody near impossible. It's best to go past the patrolling guard on Floor 3 to approach from the right (near the fire escape) and cover of total darkness; the ledge on the left is Full Bright and the camera WILL spot you.

  • Heh yeah neither did I. Through the second time I wondered why I was getting spotted without turning that TV off.
