They even adopted that idea for the PSP remake where the unsaved Annette becomes the Lady Vampire. Not only that, but in the remake, if you fall for the trap where you unlock the wrong room in the clock tower, you end up encountering one of Carmilla's servants disguised as Annette.

@Shadowserg Because it ISN'T Carmilla. It IS a possessed Annette. The whole concept is forshadowed in the game's title, Vampire's Kiss. The idea was that if you don't recue Annette Carmilla bites her and turns her into a vampire.

She is Carmilla. Chi no Rondo has the same boss. I really don't know why they have named it in this game as Skull Sorceress. Besides, in original book by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu, Carmilla is a vampire that likes female blood. So that is why she consumed Annet here.
