I have one for 3 years, not abused, and it died 3 months after the warranty expired.

The wire harness on mine is white plastic with multiple connections on each post. The screws are so tight, THEY WILL NOT UNSCREW. PIECE OF JUNK!

@uspaz932 Try cleaning the airfilter! I love both my eden pures. Use them correctly and stop your bitching.

Super analysis. Great job of explaining how this thing is put together and how it works. I was going to buy one but at even 1/2 the price it would not be a good purchase. Many Thanks.

A heater of any brand can cost you just $ 30 in Wallmart. Il does exactly the same, and surely last longer than two years. Why spending hundreds in such a scam?
-
they also have a FIVE YEAR WARRANTY in which the heater should have been sent back to the factory. their service center sent me a new one in 3 days before i sent my unit back.

A Quartz heater element uses quartz glass to block the visible light from the heating element. Only inferred light can pass through. The "Quartz" is just a light blocker. Most Radiant heaters emit a red or yellowish glow when turned on. They have no quartz IR pass filters

@uspaz932 My EdenPure lasted two years and 11 months. It started "RATTLING" and sounded like it was going to BLOWUP ! Then it just died. Hope he gets more life out of it than i did.

Replace the bulbs....they're $10 each.....the tube is quartz, not the element
Guy I work with Purchased one and it didnt work. He got a replacement and love it so purchased a second one. Talking to him the other day about his bills to mine he said his electric bill was 290. My gas and electric was only 122 so i would say thoes heaters are not as energy efficient as they say..

@uspaz932 It's a big scam for sure. I got an oil filled heater for less than 100 bucks and it work great.

LOL, I Live in Canton. I wouldn't buy one. I also did a couple of searches on elements. The tube should be made of quartz glass. Transmits IR more effectively than glass alone. It seems it it not all that uncommon to have a coil element inside. The commercials are real fancy, the web site good. But I can believe the things I've read about it. No way is that efficient. Thanks for the great video!
