I feel like my childhood has been sold! Altough Shaggy was a geek there was still a level of hip to his character, Now I feel I ve been lied to all these years! Shaggy was a conformist, part of the system that the kids were always out manuevering! Casey would never drive around the US in a van solving mysteries for free, he is all about the buck!

@ACcountryFan Yes, Kasem did voice Shaggy for the entire 'What's New Scooby Doo?' series including the related movies up to 2009. It will be(as of current date) the last TV series in which he voiced the character.
For the following 2 TV series Casey Kasem voiced a relative of Shaggy's. In 'Shaggy and Scooby-Doo get a Clue' he voiced Uncle Albert, and in 'Scooby-Doo: Mystery Inc' he voiced shaggy's father.
Matthew Lilliard has replaced him as the official voice of Shaggy Rogers.

I just saw Nick Palatas playing Shaggy in a TV Comercial, and... WTF? What kind of cheap imitation of Shaggy is that? Damn it, that's why I said it in the first place: Kasem is the only, one and true Shaggy. The closest to him is Mathew Lillard, who plays a very, but very well Shaggy. But if Casey did it for the new series it would be great though. Have you heard him in he's last Shaggy role in Samurai Sword movie? He doesn't sound old at all, he still does great. But ScottMenville? Billy West?
