well i sneaked over to the rifle range to try my hand at 50yrds. since the fartherst i have gone is 30yrds. and holly crap you are doing pretty good. i can get with in 5 inches pretty easy at 30. i am all over the place at 50. i tried my s9c, s&w .357, hi point 45. anyhow if i dont look too horribly bad in the video i will post it. although in my defense my back was killing me and i was super tired.

Not bad for 50 yards, most people don't know how far that is for a pistol. If you were aiming at a man sized target it would have been a kill. Good job.

@SonarWavePulse If you are aiming at a target, it natural to hold your breath to have a steady shooting. After you pulled the trigger, again its natural to inhale some air. In this case he used his mouth to inhale. And I believe that is good.

What distance are your sights zeroed in at? And did you have to give it a higher hold over for the 50 yard distance?

Thats pretty damn good. Unfortunately, my pistol range only goes out to 40. Rifle range, here we come.

I have a rock island 1911 compact. I think a full sized or mid sized is next on my wish list. Funny thing though. Of all the 1911's I have dealt with. (Springfield, colt 1991, auto ordinance) The Rock island has given me the least trouble. Extractor tension was right from the factory. I did replace most of the springs with wolff springs, and I did polish the feed ramp and extractor. It runs like butter. At 20 feet I can hit something the size of the palm of my hand 50 yards on the other hand...

What was the nature of the malfunction you experienced at 0:51? Round nosedive into feed ramp?

Where do you live? That looks like a pretty cool place to shoot. I hope to one day live in a place where I can walk outside of my house and blast away.
