Ice sheets and lumps of frozen snow floating down the River Severn had wedged across the river. As further sheets collided the ice broke up, to form the uneven covering shown here. This video shows the ice moving back upstream on the incoming tide. Filmed at Minsterworth, just below Gloucester, on 27th December 2010.
