@lordblazer I recently came across a characterisation of non-constitutional democracy as two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner. A constitutional democracy protects the rights of everyone, the minority in this case being the sheep as well as the majority.

@FixedByDoc (1/2) Giving a fair trial to those who killed and are trying to kill you is honorable. Killing them because you think that you are morally justified in doing so is no better than what they believe of their actions.

You go ahead and try to be aggressive. I won't beg for a chance to fight back. My whole point is that I've made up my mind that I do not want to aggressively fight back. I will fight back by becoming a martyr for my disobedience and freedom.

@FixedByDoc (2/2) I don't want to hurt those who oppress me, because that continues the circle of anger. I want to show them that a caged bird won't sing. They can not oppress the people & expect them to work to make them their millions.

If everyone refused to work & the police came to try to make them work, do you think the police would succeed? They may try to kill, but then all they have is a body. Do you think they could force people to move? A few days, the gig would be up. Game over.

@GrowTheTruth killing those who have killed and are trying to kill you is honorable and im not nor ever were a jarhead im a soldier. marines are jarheads army are soldiers navy are sailors and airforce are well i dont know what they call them we just called them airheads. and again no matter how much you deny it self defence is NOT an act of violence in ANY way. act out your civil disobedience anyway you wish but when they come and beat you to death you will beg for a chance to fight back.

I am using civil disobedience. I will not kill them, but I will not obey them either. They can hurt me and even kill me, but they will not break me or force me into violence against them to justify their anger.

You won't die with honor. Typical jarhead. You think killing people is honorable. LOL!

Inflicting pain upon another (regardless if you believe yourself morally right) is always violence.

In every war, each side believes themselves to be in the right. War does not dictate who is right, only who is left standing.

Actually, I took martial arts. My instructor taught me to always try to defuse the situation peacefully, to end the situation as quickly & to do so with as little violence as possible. Not to go into the situation looking for a fight.

I wouldn't trust what the military says. LOL!
