  • Sell stuff on Craigslist. You will get better prices than a garage sale would bring in.

  • Such a sad story and a stark reminder of the unsustainable lifestyle that Americans in general live. I obviously don't have all the details of their situation but this couple's plight is strong evidence that the "prepper" lifestyle is a solid alternative. People need to learn how to live well below their means, have food storage, grow their own food and raise small livestock. An emergency savings account of at least a year of expenses should be the top priority of every family today.

  • 13:35 "nationwide we are in bad shape"

oh, why would that be? would it have something to do with wage-arbitrage and the bridging of developing and developed economies?

we are insanely f***** and not 1 in 1000 people understand that! labor is labor is labor is labor. if someone in China, India (the developing world) has a factory opened next door and the factory is state-of-the-art and the workers are trained...they can and will do the jobs Americans once did!

    NO ONE GETS THAT!

  • @JackSchytt I'm going t go out on a limb here & speculate that they are overpricing that crap at their garage sale, too.

  • @rockstarofredondo ok, you win.

  • @JackSchytt They could still do something like that & turn their situation around.

  • @rockstarofredondo I agree with you and there still is other "preventative measures" i personally would have taken. I was talking about where they are at now not what they should have done.

  • @JackSchytt It was something they could have done long before they began getting eviction notices. It's kind of like "preventative measures". Maybe you've heard of it? Anyway, I'm not judging people who are struggling, just suggesting that they do something out of their comfort zone to alleviate some of that struggle.

  • You sir are not a failure.

  • @rockstarofredondo Rent? it's very hard to feel good about renting to someone when you can't afford the rent yourself or you are in foreclosure.

  • @SailfishSoundSystem You ain't kiddin'.

  • @rockstarofredondo Any fiat money system is doomed for failure.
