I have been reading a lot about the battle of Antietam lately and I think that McClellan was so timid that if Lee had stayed in place at Antietam he would have retreated and the battle would have been a confederate strategic as well as tactical victory. Only my opinion of course.

This was great. But one thing: you forgot to add "The Cornfeild" as it was called. There were soem major engagements at Antietam.
