One of my Artillery Calls for Fire in Fallujah U.S. Army

155mm howitzers from Camp Fallujah firing at insurgent positions south of Fallujah. I'm on the Radio calling the Arty in, and the two men speaking are Spc. Kowalenko, and Spc Ecker, I believe Ecker shot this footage after nearly getting clipped by an RPG . Despite the commentary, the target was hit and destroyed, and there are no mortars in this video, only artillery, and it's all friendly. The mission was fired in response to an ambush consisting of small arms fire, RPGs and an IED (which hit my vehicle). Isaac Ryan Pratt

They fucked up the CFF yes, in that they changed my request to an Immediate Suppression (an immediate fire for effect using whatever they have) versus an Adjust Fire, which as you know is only one round. That's it. There were no errors regarding where the rounds were landing.

Subsequently I asked for an adjustment on the Immediate Suppression to engage an additional target without having to begin a new mission.

@MAKAK47 Imagine my surprise when I heard a barrage of rounds being fired in the distance instead of my 1 requested adjustment round.

@HMSBUNTING That's messed up, the only thing the FDC should be allowed to do (FDO specifically, I know due to experience) is change the method of engagement, not the mission itself, that could get very dangerous.

@MAKAK47 Indeed. I haven't watched the vid in a while, but I do recall at least one visible VT burst. Bear in mind that while I should know precisely what was fired (and I believe I got 9 total rounds of both HE quick and VT)- my request for fire was altered at the company field TOC, and was submitted as an immediate suppression unbeknownst to me (additionally the Immediate Suppression SOP of the firing battery from C. F. was never confirmed to me.)
