Kinshasa, 2003.--The sculptor is chiseling and polishing this shape that sprang from out there, a space that is as palpable as the screechings of his knife on canvas. Have you noticed? This canvas has pointed in about all directions of the wind rose... which reminds me of Kandinsky, who painted horizontally... Willy is wresting something from the gods here... Still in the background, the whole nature and the persistent nostalgic music of his younger brother...
