My first attempt with better sound and video quality.
The audio levels are still not perfect; I am piping line-level audio into a mic input on the side of my little Kodak Zi8, so even after turning the MPC volume waaaay down, some parts are still too loud.
Song sampled is 'Across 110th St.' Not the rarest beat by any means but it's what I had to hand.
MPC 2000s unite! Good stuff bro!

Didn't you use a mixer at all? I'm suprised you didn't blow the camera up the signal is so hot. I highly recommend a gold plated stereo lead.
I turn the Zi8 internal record settings down to 25% & never have the AC adaptor connected or it hums. All my videos are recorded via the input on the Zi8. I found keeping cables appart on gear helps a little. I'm hoping my new Yamaha MG82CX mixer makes a difference once I purchase some leads. A Zoom Q3HD would be a far better but I'm too poor. :(

@funkb0x Yup, no mixer on this one. And yes, even turning the MPC almost all the way down (and the Zi8 also), it's still a very hot signal, with resulting distortion.
I plan to add a mixer to the chain soon to correct that, plus for future videos I want to finish and polish the beat a little in the computer and then post the final mix at the end of the vid. I've seen beatmakers do that on YouTube and I like it.
