Can someone please help me identify this unknown trance/hard trance tune from 1998-1999.

This unknown tune is taken from a Labyrinth vs Gatecrasher event recorded from Radio X3M in Finland back in the day. I have enquired with both the DJs but unfortunately they can't remember the tunes :(

Here is the complete mix to get more of a flavour of the type of tunes played. The unknown tune is track 15 which has a distinctive vocal sample. Any assistance with this will be very much appreciated. Enjoy the mix!

(has a male sample "Nobody is going to save You now" which is from the English dub of an old kung fu movie, "Shaolin vs. Lama")

  • sorry no -- frank bpm

  • exactly i can recall many good tunes too i have a massive collection check my page

a lot of genre of music has good and bad and try "cash ins" "music for money" etc

if i like it i buy it if not i won't then again what is good to one person is not to another regardless

of taste any music critic can except a good produced track.

  • Have no idea what the track is either - absolutely no idea. I listen to this kind of trance myself, 1991-2005. But this track is nothing special - its plain and sounds like something from the Planet Dream Dance series. No wonder I don't have it.

  • As for the Golden Age debate - there was a lot of very good trance produced in this period. To proclaim that it was all shit is idiocy. It's unfortunately also true that trance as as a genre was a couple of years into its nose-dive at the same time. It's a shame the mass produced shit tarnished the music. I'm sure there's still great trance being produced today..it never stopped but good luck finding it.

  • Hey Jive, I'm afraid I don't know what this is. I recognize it well, and think it may even be in my collection but I wouldn't even know where to begin. I either hear it and know exactly what the record looks like or it's a lost cause ;) If I ever stumble on the record, I'll let you know. Hopefully you'll find it before then :)

  • i never said these tunes were great i said golden age "???"

i shall remove the "golden age" and say when trance came popular or commercial

i can recall many shit tunes i recognize sounds from that era'

don't really care much i tried to help this guy out that e mailed me to be honest early techno from around 1991 was better produced than anything past 1993 i won't go as far as to say superior but it was more innovative.

lets hope the guy finds this tune he wants it saves pointless debates ;-)

  • @adharlee Golden Age 1999-2000??? Are you on drugs??? The Golden Age of Trance was from 1993 to 1996! After that there was only shit like this tune!

  • @drumbum1976

    Definitely not Ralph Fridge.

  • mmm......sounds like k90's production this is a hard track to ID

    golden age of trance 1999-2000

  • Ralph Fridge?
