I was thinking that my husband is "my special angel", remembered this song, checked here, and found this one. Dear heaven, through the tears I remember those days! Thank you so much for putting this one on YouTube!!

@louisewoody1 I can't imagine. It must be so hard. Been married 36 yrs myself so I can grasp how much she meant. But life goes on and she would want life to go on for you. It's ok to be a companion to someone in the same situation. I would never marry again, but that isn't to say I wouldn't need some companionship. Maybe you do too?

Love this music, they do not make music now like they used to. Wish that i lived in this time, unfortunately i am only in my early 30's. What a beautiful voice, my fav version of this song by far, though Bobby H is not far off
Back in the late fifties young couples had "Their Song". This was our song, whenever I hear it back come the good memories. My wife passed away Oct 15 2010 and Nov 29 2010 we would have celebrated our 52nd Anniversary. She used to say I was her Special Angel looking out for her, now she is My Special Angel looking out after me. My life has changed completely, not for the better I'm afraid.

Bobby has always been an exceptional songsmith, with a pure, clean, ever-youthful tone. This is one more example of just how good a song can be in his capable hands. Listen to this, all you of you who were born too late to have known this kind of music, to learn why we loved it so much back when we were young. Thanks for posting!
