About the SNL skit for those of you that missed it!: From his modest thatched hut on the sunny shores of Oahu, Host Jack Johnson sings the show in with a mellow groove, greeting everyone with the salutation, "Hacky sack!" Returning viewers may notice the absence of Jack's handkerchief wearing golden retriever Shasta. Sadly, he was so mellow he forgot to feed Shasta, and she was taken away because of his gross negligence.

Jack's first guest, an equally laid back Dave Matthews dances in barefoot with his guitar. He's been enjoying Kombucha tea, wearing Cambodian fleeces, taking drives in his woody, and smoking weed. His super weird violinist shows up to accompany him on one of his new jams about snickerdoodles. Afterwards, Jack gives a eulogy for his parrot Captain Pooky, who wore a pooka shell necklace, and passed away when he forget to feed it.

The next guest, John Mayer shows up in shoes. His days are decidedly not laid back, since they include meeting with record execs, multi-tasking and checking his stock portfolio. He assures Jack that he also smokes weed, so he's laid back. He scares Jack with the faces he makes while soloing on his guitar.

Jack bids farewell to his pet iguana Sonny, who always wore a Gore-Tex vest, and passed away from lack of food. His show has been sponsored by JJ Casuals footwear. When you have to wear shoes, get the ones that look like bare feet!
