It is half nerd gadget, and half jewelry. Apple has always discarded functionality for form, and before you tell me about the quadrillion apps in the Apple Store, bear in mind the multitudes of user created apps for Android.
The better platform is the one that can operate out from under the thumb of a corporate dictatorship.

I know a cell phone company that's going to start forcing all the shitty handset makers like Samsung and Motorola to use it on their handsets or they won't carry it. They cause too many calls into service for problems and cost $. The iPhone AT&T thing is getting ugly. AT&T is starting to blame the iPhone as being buggy that causes the problems and that other 3G devices are fine. I dunno...that phone is so crammed in, it could have a lame antenna

not Including text messaging, it ranges from 69.99 to 129.99 per month.
Text Messaging plans IIRC cost between 5 and 20 bucks a month.

So if you talk a lot on the phone, you could wind up spending 150 bucks a month on your cellphone.

MY rule is to always wait after 5 years.
